What should I look for in a Park Model?

When you begin walking through the process one of the first things you will need to work through is which park models, will best fit my needs.

There are some questions that you should ask that can help you narrow things down, and find the perfect fit for your specific situation.

1. What is the primary use of your park model?

   You may want to design things differently if you are looking to use it for a camp, or as a rental for your destination campers. The primary use should also be a top priority in your choosing. If you are looking to use park models as a source of revenue in the form of a rental, you want to consider your potential customers, and look for the models that will create you the greatest return on your investment. Consider offering a variety of options to a potential customer to enable you to meet both their budget needs, as well as their space requirements.

2. How long do you expect the stays to be?

   If you are looking for mainly overnight and weekend rentals, you would not need as much storage space in the kitchen. If you were planning on customers staying for weeks at a time make sure that you choose a model with ample storage especially in the kitchen. Storage space can also be added, by purchasing a loft model.

3. How many people do you think will be staying in the park model?

   If you have a family of four, you want to choose a floor plan that sleeps four people comfortably; it could be by having the kids stay in the loft, or adding an extra bedroom. If it is a rental, think about your prospective customer profile, and determine whether you will be marketing to families, seniors, or some other type consumer. Once you determine you customer profile you can then add some simple things that can really set you apart from the competition.
